We discovered there was already another app called SpeakEasy App, so we rebranded to Spell to Voice (s2v for short) to avoid confusion. All your data and features remain exactly the same - only the name has changed!
Spell to Voice (s2v) is a free communication app designed to help people with speech difficulties express themselves using text-to-speech technology and customizable communication boards.
Simply tap letters to build words and sentences. Press the green speaker button to have your message read aloud. You can switch between alphabetic and number/symbol modes using the toggle.
Communication boards are customizable grids of buttons with preset phrases and images. They're perfect for quick communication and can be organized by categories like daily routines, emergencies, or custom topics.
Yes! Click the settings icon to adjust voice settings including speed, pitch, and select from available voices. You can also set your preferred language.
Click the grid icon, then select 'Manage Boards'. From there you can create new boards, add buttons with custom text and phrases, and organize them by category.
Yes! In the board manager, you can share boards via email and control whether others can edit them or just view them.
Yes, Spell to Voice is completely free to use. It's supported by donations from users who find it helpful. If you'd like to support the project, you can donate via Venmo @SpeakEasyApp.
The app can be installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on your device. Some features like text-to-speech work offline, but you'll need an internet connection for account features and syncing boards.

You can delete your account at any time by going to Settings (gear icon) and scrolling to the bottom where you'll find the 'Delete Account' button. Please note that this action permanently removes all your data including communication boards, saved phrases, and preferences, and cannot be undone.
When you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently removed from our system, including your communication boards, quick phrases, voice settings, and any other preferences. This action cannot be reversed, so please make sure to export any boards you want to keep before deleting your account.
